• Recording quality (amr/wav) can be adjusted by setting different Sampling Bitrate
• All S60 devices even those with few keys like N8/C7/5800 can use hotkey to start/stop recording conveniently. You can choose a key from a list (21 keys including key XpressMedia and key Menu) and select a press method (PressLong/PressOnce/PressTwice/PressThrice) to act as a hotkey
• Recording all calls, or some of the calls according to the Include List/Exclude List
• Auto Send the clip via MMS/Email after recording
• Manually send clips via MMS/Email/Bluetooth/Infrared
• The clip can be stored in any drive, such as C, E, F, etc.
• Total Disk Limited can be set. The oldest clips will be erased automatically when the total size of clips exceeds the setting value
• Use advanced RDBMS/SQL technique to manage clips, you can add note to a certain clip, view the detailed clip information, search, play back, delete, copy and move clips conveniently and quickly
• Password protection
• Client/Server structure, the server program which runs in the background is powerful but it is really tiny (less than 60KB) with less consumption of resources

SymbRecorder User Manual

This Demo Edition is full featured for free for 14 days. 14 days later it's limited to record only 1 minute everytime. To remove this limit you need to purchase a Register Code to register the software.

The software will be changed automatically from Demo Edition to Professional/Standard/Lite Edition after inputting a corresponding Register Code on your phone.

• To purchase a Register Code, you are required to provide the IMEI of your phone. Each Register Code is unique and can be used only on the phone with the corresponding IMEI.

  What's the IMEI?

  The IMEI is the unique code of a cellphone. Each cellphone has a different 15-digit IMEI code.

  How to get the IMEI?

  The IMEI will be displayed when pressing "*#06#" while a cellphone is in standby.

• We use PayPal as our online payment processor because they offer ideal security measures to protect customers that purchase our software online. If you don't currently have a PayPal account, don't worry, you can still pay with a credit card. With PayPal, it's free to the buyer, all the PayPal fees are paid by us. Q: What are the differences of the Professional Edition, Standard Edition, Lite Edition and the Demo Edition?

A: SymbRecorder 5.40.0 has 4 different editions:

• Professional Edition
  The most powerful edition, full featured with no limit.
• Standard Edition
  The following features are unavailable: auto send clips after recording, auto delete old clips.
• Lite Edition
  The following features are unavailable: auto send clips after recording, auto delete old clips, password protection, setting Include List/Exclude List.
• Demo Edition
  Full featured (just like the Professional Edition) for free for 14 days. 14 days later it's limited to record only 1 minute every time.

Q: Are there any differences between the SymbRecorder software purchased from Nokia Ovi Store and that purchased from this page?

A: The features and functions are exactly the same. Differences exist in install and version update as following:

• If purchasing from Nokia Ovi Store, you should download and install the purchased software to overwrite the Demo Edition, no need to input Register Code.
• If purchasing from this page, you should input the Register Code, no more installation is required with the Demo Edition downloaded from this page has been installed on the phone.
• As to version update, Nokia Ovi Store may be later to publish the new version, because they need 8 work days to complete the publishing work flow.

Q: I first installed SymbRecorder Demo Edition from Nokia Ovi Store, later purchased the Register Code from this page, then I can't find the Register menu item to input the Register Code on my phone, what should I do?

A: In this case you should uninstall SymbRecorder first, download the Demo Edition from this page and install it on your phone, then you can find the Register menu item to input the Register Code.

Q: I downloaded and installed SymbRecorder Demo Edition from this page. When I tried to install the Professional/Standard/Lite Edition I purchased from Nokia Ovi Store, it displayed "Update Error", what should I do?

A: In this case you should uninstall SymbRecorder first, then install the Professional/Standard/Lite Edition you purchased from Nokia Ovi Store.

Q: Are Nokia E72, E52 really supported? Why couldn't I record phone call more than 5 minutes, sometimes even less than 10 seconds?

A: Nokia broke the API we used to record phone call in some new firmwares. Please select the Beep Suppress Mode1, and use WAV instead of AMR to record phone call, it works well. You will hear the beep, but the other end will not hear.

Q: Where are the recorded clips saved in? I can't find them in the phone.

A: To protect your privacy we used the Symbian Data Caging technology, other software (for example the music player etc.) can't visit the clips in your phone. Press the "Copy To/Move To" menu item to copy/move the clips to a public folder (for example E:\XYZ folder) then you can transfer the clips from E:\XYZ folder to your computer.

Q: Why did it display "System Error" after recording when I enabled the Auto Send By Email option?

A: You haven't config the email box correctly. Mail for Exchange is not supported currently, so please config a SMTP email box as this:

• Create a new email box in the "Messaging/Settings/E-Mail/Mailboxes" on your phone, and confirm the new email box can be used to send email successfully.
• Set the "Messaging/Settings/E-Mail/Mailbox in use" to the new email box.

After doing this, it will work.
